Injury Update-making progress!

Fractured wrist, fractured kneecap, i was able to dress myself this morning for the first time since October 8th.
Got the cast off my arm, started OT, still have immobilizer on my leg, I go back to knee doctor on Friday. Keep your fingers crossed that I can start bending my knee soon!

3. Doing OT for my hand/wrist

2x a week in person, 4 sets of daily exercises at home. (Ouchy, but working)
I'm able to walk with an immobilizer on my leg, without an assistive device. I see the knee doctor Friday, we'll see how it's going. I had surgery on my wrist but not my knee.

So you are mobile which is very good.

Yes I know. PT hurts but it is what gets you going again.
I have had a number of bone breaks, but I was really good about doing all the PT and exercises
and I am doing great. Very little scar tissue or pain now.

So keep up the good work.

I wonder when the immobilizer comes off?

on my broken kneecap in 1996. The doctor who removed the wires six months later said my kneecap had been “smooshed.”

Your kneecap apparently was not smooshed. Get well soon.

I'm getting PT right now for my shoulder surgery - got another month to go because I fell (boo). Anyway, I find my arm/shoulder feel better when I do my exercises. Good luck with your recovery.

had injuries throughout my life and ditched the pt. Big mistake.

Endure the pain, to a rational point and get a better level of better.
