to go out and buy the exact 2024 meal at today's prices. Don't just show us what trump tries to make us swallow (literally) - less food with only store brand. Get the same name brands in the same quantities, etc. NOW tell us the difference! Show how much more the cost is this year. The comparisons have not been equal and thus are bogus.

Nobody is strong enough to give us the actual prices for the same items as last year. Without those numbers, these presentations aren't worth my time.

The changes and prices are posted to her right and left as she is speaking. You can zoom in on them for the details.

But the problem with a simple comparison is that on many of the items that are the same in each basket. This year there is shrinkage. Also the change up the brand names so that you really can't do a straight up comparison. And there were 22 items in Walmart's basket in 2024 but now there are only 14. Also Walmart gave up on ingredients for stuffing this year.

Go buy everything on LAST YEARS LIST-

And add up the cost, and show us how much more it costs than last year.

Do a apples to apples comparison-

Except the very best deals at a local Union grocer. Only essentials. f6ck this market and f6ck this nazi in the WH. Apologies for being over-the-top but these are exceptional (in a bad way) times.

I discovered that if you got the 2025 basket and added enough extra food to present the same meal in both years you'd have to spend $18.36 for the add-ons; since the 2025 meal is only $15 less expensive than the 2024 one, this year's basket is more expensive.

But wait - there's more! There are some items in the 2025 basket where they give you the same product but different amounts of it. For example, this year there are three cans of green beans and in 2024 there were two. I subtracted the excess items in the 2025 basket to bring it down to 2024 levels; if you take the 2025 basket in its entirety you need to add $1.50 that I subtracted; this makes the current basket require $19.86 in additional spending.

That was in the news the last few years. Products being sold in smaller packaging for the same price, or even costing more for less.
