Repercussions on ending the shutdown

If the Dems do vote to reopen, and ACA goes away they will have strong ammo going into the midterms. People are hurting 'now' and perhaps its time to kick the blame to the GOP goons. There will be a reckoning.

Explain that to the 50,000 Americans who will die without the Obamacare subsidies, that the decision was political, sorry.

We get nothing and millions die. This is a bad deal and Democrats will be blamed. No one will trust us. Why should they.

8. Little disappointed we got nothing from shutdown. Heck, at least 2 weeks ago we could have claimed victory

and put the blame on GOPers if they didn’t follow-up on a one or two year extension of subsidies. All 250 of our delegation should have stood on Capitol steps, declared victory, etc.

I’m assuming latest goes through.

12. So we'll have headlines, "Dems in Disarray." Not sure it's good having Democrats disagree on this, at this point.

Trump is backed in a corner from election losses, people are losing SNAP, air traffic controllers aren't being paid. Let him marinate - don't bail him out. My god.

I've never seen such crappy negotiation. Hold.the.line.

15. Cold comfort. Do you understand that in order to pass the ACA, we needed 60 Dems

or Dem allies like Lieberman. We only had 60 for a short period of a few months, and with bullshit like this, we have zero prospects of getting back to the 60 point for another generation at least.
