This Day in MAGA Hell: GOP States Would Suffer the Biggest Blows if Affordable Care Act Subsidies Expire

Why? Because your same Republicans who are moving Heaven, earth and the renegade SC to screw you on healthcare are the ones who fkd you in the FIRST place - by refusing government subsidized Medicaid expansion. Doubled fkd, as it were.

These GOP states would suffer the biggest blows if Affordable Care Act subsidies expire, - Fortune

Not renewing subsidies for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act would disproportionately affect Republican states, particularly in the South, according to analysts.

In an Oct. 23 note, Oxford Economics senior U.S. economist Matthew Martin pointed out that more than half of the 24 million enrollees receiving these subsidies live in a handful of Southern states.

“Southern states have a much higher share because most of these states did not expand Medicaid coverage in 2010’s ACA or 2021’s American Rescue Plan Act despite federal support to do so,” he wrote.

Of the 10 states with the highest share of the population receiving Obamacare subsidies, eight are in the South and voted for... Donald Trump last year.
They include Florida, Georgia, Texas, Mississippi, South Carolina, Alabama, Tennessee and North Carolina. The other two states in the top 10, Utah and Wyoming, are also Republican states.

It would take a small convention to hammer it out and the requirements for each state to join it, along with eligibility requirements.

exactly what they deserve. Their Republican reps killed the Medicaid expansion in their respective states, as well as refused other federal funds, and/or failed to implement what they received for its intended use. Hence that Texas day camp flood incident.

Yet they run out and vote those same clowns right back into office to screw them all over again.

But hey, at least they're "owning the libs." Fk em.
