Turn out next year will now be apocalyptic for the Democratic Party.
Why would people vote for a Party that does not have their back?

(6,387 posts)1. The Democratic leadership is more worried about "the left"
than they are about republicans. And therein lies the problem.

(18,349 posts)4. A pedantic parsing of what exactly Dems voted for and against isn't going to land
with most voters. They are going to hear/see that Democrats went along with Repugs in spiking their ACA prices. That will be their take-home.
And those ruinous ACA prices will persist through the next election and beyond.
One can insist that they are wrong all one likes (and even be correct in that), but being self-righteous won't change their mind or their vote/nonvote.
