The reasons for doing the shutdown are contradictory and nonsensical in light of the capitulation; claiming they won something on health care when they didn't; saying they won things that were already law.

I truly thought that we had the momentum and high road, only to get screwed by our fellow Dem Senators.

Well, that’s not true.

They’re getting a promise of a vote on ACA subsidies in the Senate, which will easily go down in defeat. Not to mention, Speaker Mike Johnson has said he’ll never even bring the matter up for a vote in the House.

The entire republican caucus, including Moses Mike, is willing to put people in existential danger just to force their agenda.

This is actually the messaging that dems need to go with, loud and clear. Trump was going to let Americans starve, he didn’t care. Dems took a black eye so that Americans could put food on the table.
