Are these all the Democratic Senators who voted with the GOP?

How did they get this through without Schumer? I thought he was supposed to be in charge of the Democratic Senate caucus.

You're confusing him with LBJ.

had to give some "The Treatment" to get the 1960 Civil Rights Bill through.

My point was, the OP was being a bit unrealistic to think that Schumer could have controlled the 10 who sold us out.

LBJ was a unique Democratic Senate leader, capable of manipulating the caucus despite opposing forces in the party.

Expecting Schumer to “herd cats” like that is overly optimistic. What leverage could he hold over Senators that are retiring, or lost causes like Fetterman?

I asked how you knew he wasn’t behind it. Your response was to turn it on me, which doesn’t answer the question.

Setting aside just how it might be possible to prove a negative, I'll just say that I take the Democratic leader of the Senate for his word...and his NO vote for its face value.
