It's despicable that they pulled this crappy "deal" late on a Sunday night with no

real opportunity for the public to respond and object before a vote was taken. They knew it would cause heads to explode amongst Democrats and they did it anyway hoping to blunt the outrage of voters who just 5 days ago went all out for them to keep fighting like hell by calling for a vote at a time when the least number of people would even be aware of it. In addition to caving for nothing they are doing it as complete fucking cowards.

We just gave up on the 2026 midterms. Such momentum after No Kings, Tuesday elections and now this.
Wish I had a reason to be optimistic, but not now.

Some bought off pieces of shit did.

Potential fracturing appoint event.

I’m a Californian, and bluntly am so pissed off that if there was a vote next Tuesday to leave the Union, I would be hard pressed to not support it.

Getting fucked by ignoranrt Red Staters is one thing, getting fucked by “Dem” Senators is much worse.

"Shasta County supervisors support proposal to split California into coastal, inland states"https://krcrtv.com/news/local/shasta-county-supervisors-support-proposal-to-split-california-into-coastal-inland-states

attempts to split California, more than one a year. The Shasta County Board of Supervisors discussed one of those attempts on Tuesday.

"Assemblymember James Gallagher was invited to present his proposal to create Coastal and Inland Californias. Spurred on by Proposition 50 which gerrymanders congressional district and critics say takes away any voice conservatives have in California, Gallagher has proposed a new solution. It's called the Joint Resolution 23 and it would create "Inland California" from about 35 counties."
"If you choose not to actually put it on the ballot, what's gonna happen again is you're going to be sued over this. So I just really hope that you will go forward with the law and put this on the ballot," said a member of the public."

"Now the county is going to be on the hook for the legal fees to defend this, what is apparently a clearly illegal petition," said another member of the public.

"The board unanimously voted to place the initiative on the ballot for June 2."

They have been after this for years. A former friend lives in Shasta. She is MAGA, dear leader loving psycho.

This is not just 30 MILLION people, it’s also keeping your child on your plan to 26. It’s pre existing conditions (that’s huge). Its annual checkups bout just ER visits - which costs us.

We are a year from the midterms. People have a short memory but they know who this hangs on.

Disappointed doesn't begin to cover it. It'll be a miracle if we win the midterms now.

It can be traced to this capitulation. Why vote for a party that capitulates to maga and won’t fight for the most important issues. Voters are fucking done with weak democrats. If they won’t fight they’re gone
