The Dems didn't cave, and now little Mikey will have to put the House back into session.

The withholding of SNAP benefits was at a crisis point. And air travel is a nightmare right now, just prior to the busiest travel holiday of the year.

How would you like to be facing winter weather and have nothing to eat or to feed your family? Something had to be done for 42 million Americans, 40% of which are children.

The healthcare fight will continue, and Republicans know they are still on the hook for it.

And now Mikey Johnson will have to put the House back into session and swear in Rep. Grijalva....

Democrats alongside Republicans. Well, they will now. This was really mismanaged strategically.

If going along with this was inevitable at some point, then Dems never should have made defending ACA subsidies a central talking point in defense of voting no on the CR cloture. They have generated an own goal here.

Trump and republicans already cut 200 billion out of snap. What makes you think they wont feel empowered to do even more of that sense Democrats caved without getting anything for it. The battle for healthcare is pretty much already lost now.

He can always find an excuse not to do it. The shutdown had absolutely nothing to do with not swearing her in.

They can drag this through the courts for years of they want
