I plan to attend the next "No Kings" protest.

Given my past cynicism, it's a bit surprising to me that I'm not the least bit fazed by the fact that Dems were unable to get what they wanted with the ACA. Repigs were willing to starve people, destroy people's travel plans, and otherwise wreak mayhem rather than budge an inch. I honestly don't see how we were supposed to somehow win this standoff. (This should not be construed as support for Schumer's 'leadership', however.)

Perhaps the shutdown was folly to begin with, or perhaps it has done some good in exposing Repugs for what they are to more people. Perhaps it was a success in that it put the blame for skyrocketing premiums solely on the Greedy Old Predators. As always, time will tell.

But I can tell you that for myself, I will never give up the fight and if anything I'm even more motivated than before to show up and protest.

YMMV... but I hope it doesn't, for the sake of the country.

That's what Indivisible and others groups have been saying. After we do boycotts (they DO work...look at Jimmy Kimmel) then we need to get everything set up and a specific agenda planned for a general strike. There were 21 million protesters at NO KINGS on Oct 18th.

Planning ahead is what needs to come happen for it to be effective in the USA.

*****I expect there will be a ton of flash mob protests popping up all over the US tomorrow when Americans wake up and hear what happened tonight. Probably there will be organized ones throughout the week.
