Trump is pretty much ruling by Executive fiat and is now doing Loyalty Oaths at NFL games.

But Merriam-Webster can help you with that: https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/fiat

Ruling by Executive fiat means Trump doesn't need legislation to do what he wants.

Will need to address the CR that ends on 11/21. There is a lawsuit to have Grihalva sworn in by someone other than the squeaker, which is probably what will happen.

Meanwhile, I expect that when the House is back in session several things will happen:

Grihalva is sworn in by then if not upon the opening

Johnson's speakership will be challenged and he will probably lose

The vote to release the files is held

And one or more Democratic members will read the entirety of Virginia Guiffre's book at the podium placing it in the Federal Register.. a bigger deal than it may appear to those not versed in the import of the FR.

Many things can and will take place whether we/you/I can imagine them or not.

they have had years to manipulate epstein evidence.

anything released will confirm patel's "epstein trafficked only to himself" bull shit, or maybe some false evidence against trump's ever growing list of enemies.

All it does is require an immediate vote in the House on a resolution to release them. Repubs could defeat that resolution and though they would be on record for doing it and would upset many of their own Maga voters, there would still be nothing requiring the files be released. Even if enough Repubs vote for the resolution for it to pass the Senate would probably never allow a vote on it and even if it did Trump would probably say the files were national security issues and refuse to release them. So I don't think we will ever see the files, unless someone leaks them.

The DOJ (Defenders of Jeffrey) had nothing to do with the Andrew formerly known as Prince's downfall.

Some graphics and background on the Epstein Shutdown.

Lots there, and it's old data. There are already two books out by former victims, and people are opening investigations into the clandestine money transactions and banks guilty as sin in the trafficking, money laundering and blackmail business.

As others have noted, getting anything out of DOJ is like trying to get money from your bank at 11:00 pm with the power and internet down. On purpose. So other than forcing people to vote "on the record" for release, it's better to count on independent investigations (IMO).

I am skeptical that if anything incriminating Trump ever existed, that it hasn't been destroyed.
