I've reached out to ProPublica and the NYT

I know many here despise the NYT. If they pick up my story I'll make sure I have control over the final print.

Really, all I'm concerned about is exposure of my lack of healthcare without the ACA subsidies. I'm trying to find someone willing to chronicle my death once I can't afford my healthcare to stay alive anymore. I assume this should be an easy sell.

Does anyone else have other media outlets I might reach out to?

On edit: I'm a cancer patient who's under ridiculously expensive post chemo treatment for ovarian cancer. Not the sort of stuff you can afford on your own even if you sold your home and decided to live under a bridge.

their content can get picked up by others and get lots of exposure secondhand or as followup.

I'm already speaking to a local KXAN person who sent me to ProPublica. Local said they might pick me up once my healthcare has lapsed and my active dying begins.

How messed up is it when finding people willing to chronicle you dying is so much easier than securing healthcare to keep you alive? It feels a bit like hunger games.

Along with those in the occupied cities who stood up to ICE.

I get that Repubs can’t see the future dominos to fall, but damn, many here still have the sunshine pump deeply inserted in their ass.

You might peruse shows of a similar nature that have been showcased in any of the above and reach out to the documentarian that did the show.

For example, people like Anna Moot-Levin and Laura Green, who did "The Providers" (Independent Lens), following lives of healthcare professionals in rural New Mexico, showcasing human stories within the U.S. healthcare system.

"LOCAL, USA": A series that features stories from public television stations and independent producers across the country, often centered on a specific theme.

"POV": A showcase for independent non-fiction films on a wide range of social and cultural topics.

"Independent Lens": Showcases films from independent producers. The series features creative, artistic, and vision-driven stories about unique individuals, communities, and moments in history, with films covering a wide range of topics including health, social issues, and the environment

They could help you chronicle your story with video. A lot of media is originally sourced from SM. If you know other people in your situation, that may help too. Power in numbers.

Disgusting that you have to go through this HC.

NPR; local tv, radio, and newspapers. As someone mentioned above, stories can get picked up.
