(19,116 posts)she's a "Yes" on ending the ACA along with her Republican friends, to "address health care costs"....because if the ACA is gone, many fewer people will have the option of seeking health care, so it won't cost them a thing!

(518 posts)Her and the other Dems who concocted this deal are delusional. When have the GOP especially Trump ever kept their word on anything.
Wiz Imp
(8,081 posts)because they significantly impact her constituents. I'm sure there are others. It's theoretically possible it could pass, but Johnson would not likely allow a vote in the House (time for another discharge petition) and even if passed by the House, Trump will not sign it. But that was always going to be the case. Keeping the government shut for a year still wouldn't get Trump to change his mind and sign it.

(3,144 posts)He sounds like he knows the votes going to fail. Which it will. I figured they be playing politics as usual nonsense. Like republicans vote against it and think that that's going to give Democrats political capital it would do nothing for us. Also it's insulting for him to say that he is standing for us after caving. If they were really standing for us they would've went to the ends of the earth. So what if republicans were willing to burn it all down then Democrats should've been willing to burn it all down too.

(75,852 posts)* Restricting Public Health Programs: Project 2025 would scale back the use of public
health programs like Medicaid and make it harder for people to access them, including
through huge funding cuts to Medicaid. Instead, it calls for pushing families towards
private plans with worse coverage.
* Rolling Back Affordable Care: Project 2025 would make it more costly and difficult for
people to access affordable health coverage generally, including by weakening key
reforms under the Affordable Care Act, a law that has that helped millions of people gain
health care coverage.
