NV-GOV: (WTF?) Las Vegas public teachers' union backs Gov. Lombardo for re-election

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The largest teachers' union in Nevada has endorsed Gov. Joe Lombardo in his bid for a second term, a year out from the gubernatorial election.

The Clark County Education Association (CCEA) said in a release Monday that it worked closely with Lombardo for several key achievements.

Union leaders credit the Republican governor with approving $2.5 billion in K-12 spending back in 2023, instituting record teacher raises, improving school safety and advancing accountability measures.

"Governor Lombardo is an education Governor for all Nevada's students," CCEA President Marie Neisess said in a statement. "His leadership has helped pave the way to ensure all students have an opportunity to receive a quality education in Nevada. Working with CCEA has been a true partnership and he has earned to be elected for a second term in 2026."
