In response to Sen Shaheen;

"and we didn’t have any indication before the shutdown started that our Republican colleagues were willing to address it.”

The moral of the story is:

Don't fight for anything unless the outright lying, badfaulith merchants on the other side give you a hint that you may win.

Got it.

I forgot that the colonists knew from the start that King George was open to American Independence.

I also forgot that the Confederacy didn't really mean it when they left the union. They were also looking forward to freeing all of their slaves.

Damn, I must have been asleep in history class on the day we learned that the Axis powers really wanted peace.

This strategy was also at play in every labor strike ever in the U.S. Strikes only happen when management tells you you will win.

Why strike, why protest, hell why even vote?

Thanks for immediately proving the point of my post.

It would behoove all of those claiming to be on the left to understand this, since NOT understanding it for far too often this past decade is the reason why we are in this mess to begin with.

I mean, it's a recurring theme on Tucker Carlson that Great Britain were the actual villains in WWII.
