I actually wasn't sure, when it was over, if I had. So, when I got home, I contacted my cardiologist and this conversation ensued:Me: Well, I survived the cardiac stress test, but I don't know if I passed or was successful. Time will tell! Thanks for your support.
MD: When you fail, they keep you and call me.
So far, so good!!
Me: I didn't know that. Very interesting and thank you for making me smile.
MD: Yup.
Me: Thanks so much!
So there we are. I'm glad it's over and I can rest. And thanks to all of you for your comments and support during this time. It means so much.
As before, I will give all of you who respond a rec.

(36,697 posts)Had a bunch of them on the treadmill and then a couple of chemical ones after I got my pacemaker.
Passed them all. Just had bradycardia without Afib. Have a monitor by my bed that sends reports if anything unusual pops up. 6 years and no problems.
Follow all 3 of my Cardiologist. Keep moving. Hang in there, youve got this.

(12,106 posts)Her cardiologist didn't think she was a good candidate because of her dementia, his analysis after meeting her Once. Her primary and the cardiologist own assistant, over ruled. The dementia assessment he wanted was more than 6mths out! No way!
My sis came through text book! Golden.
We still haven't gotten an appointment for dementia test he wanted, her surgery was March

(9,397 posts)I remember.... When I went in and they said they'd call me in a couple a days and let me know the results. Four hours later I was scheduled and stented within 24 hours. They don't fuck around. I still remember the cardiologist s face staring down at me before I was completely out, scolding me before the procedure was over. He was a character. Be well Miss Peggy.

(670 posts)Two years ago, I failed my test. Not enough studying, I guess. Ended up with a quadruple bypass. 90 days after surgery I was back on the slopes, not only skiing, but back working Ski Patrol. What used to be a very tricky procedure, now iss almost routine .

(335 posts)Glad you got good news. When you talk with your doc next, find out if there are exercises or physical therapy you can do to improve your cardio condition. I started exercise and my A1 C, blood pressure, triglycerides, cholesterol, etc. all went back to normal ranges!
