If he had not voted for the ACA during Trumps first term we would have lost despite Mcains efforts. We need leaders who will fight for us.

If someone is going to argue that taking cyanide is deadly, I wish they wouldn't point to strychnine and offer that as a healthier alternative.

The stakes were too high on this. What one person might refer to as a "disappointment" another might see as rank cowardice and complicity.

Doesn't mean we should keep settling for mediocrity or appeasers. We need those who would FIGHT our destroyers. Nothing less.

GET RID OF BAD DEMOCRATS IN THE PRIMARY -- NOT THE FUCKING GENERAL. THAT JUST LEAVES US ALL WITH DEPLORABLE REPUBLICANS AND THEIR MESS OF A NATION.

WE WOULD NOT BE HAVING ANY OF THESE DEBATES HAD DEMOCRATS BEEN IN CHARGE OF THE GOVERNMENT RIGHT NOW.

The "big tent" party would faithfully represent the 70-80% of the public that support very progressive positions on almost every issue. A "big tent" party would never be in the position that we are in today.

We have a very small tent: corporate donors, consultants, and a few mass media personalities.

They made sure that “fired” federal workers (the ones that Trump fired during the shutdown) would be reinstated. And that all those furloughed workers would get back pay. That makes a huge difference not only to their families, but to the economy of their communities too.

Republicans were going to cede nothing. But Dems held out long enough to force them to cave.

Will honor the ‘agreement’. It took us more than a hundred years to get healthcare. It was a bitter fight. We gave up the House for this important legislation. And our leaders ‘bargained ’ it away. We likely will never get it back and millions will die.

The OBBB Act did nothing to change that. The expiration of those subsidies returns the ACA to pre-2021 levels. Additional harm will be done by changing the qualification standards, but it is unrealistic to expect Democrats to be able to rewrite that legislation when they are in the minority. Allowing SNAP beneficiaries and federal workers to be held as hostages is both cruel and likely to be futile.

based on 5 year old data right? Healthcare has gone up you know. This is unaffordable and many will die. Soon theACA Will disappear. I am furious. We must have better leaders who fight for us. The ones we have are complicit in destroying the ACA whether intentional or not.
