Resistors!
We deserve to know where our representatives and senators stand with the people, or with the eight senators who orchestrated a capitulation to fascism. Silence is complicity. Please sign/share this petition. Let them know were watching.
Thanks,

(948 posts)I think hes lost the respect of a large number in his caucus. The eight senators themselves should be ostracized and shunned. Theyre collaborators and made the other 39 to look like a bunch of fucking idiots, putting their head out on the line.
39 senators did the right thing, but those eight can fuck thrmselves from here to eternity like every republican. Especially Fetterman.

(66,376 posts)We've heard about this masterful chess game for literal decades.
How many times will Democrats sacrifice their queen before they actually win?

(2,135 posts)Did you get EVERYTHING we wanted? No.
Did we get most of what we wanted? Yes.
Sadly, some folk seem to expect that one party should get everything or else settle for nothing.
I just dont understand such reductionist logic.
Proposing health coverage is not the fault of democrats. Lets keep that in mind.

(66,376 posts)They need to figure out some way to stop making their wins look, sound, and feel like catastrophic losses. Its not just a matter of a few griping DUers; Dems have a major and long term problem with optics and with messaging.
If, every time we score a victory, we need a team of devoted truebelievers to assure us that we won, then maybe it wasnt as much of a win after all.

(14,693 posts)I'll be signing no such petition - and my local Democratic party has been apprised of that position - and the continuing support backing it (both financial and otherwise).

The new leader will be just as powerless, just as incapable of stopping Trump, Republicans, and the Supreme Court, just as cut off from the levers of power.

(53,744 posts)Reminds me of the fairy tale where the mice decide that if a collar with a bell were to be placed on the cat, they'd be warned of the danger. And an old mouse steps forward and rhetorically asked, "Well and good. But who's going to bell the cat?"

(150,208 posts)Like everyone else, I have two Senators. I voted for both of them. I don't always agree 100% with them, but they're both Democrats and can be counted on to vote with other Democrats when it matters.
Not everyone likes them. I do, though.
