I think he’s lost the respect of a large number in his caucus. The eight senators themselves should be ostracized and shunned. They’re collaborators and made the other 39 to look like a bunch of fucking idiots, putting their head out on the line.

Did you get EVERYTHING we wanted? No.

After a 40-day shutdown, it’s reasonable to hope for something more concrete.

They need to figure out some way to stop making their wins look, sound, and feel like catastrophic losses. It’s not just a matter of a few griping DUers; Dems have a major and long term problem with optics and with messaging.

If, every time we score a victory, we need a team of devoted truebelievers to assure us that we won, then maybe it wasn’t as much of a win after all.

I'll be signing no such petition - and my local Democratic party has been apprised of that position - and the continuing support backing it (both financial and otherwise).

Which may make some feel better, but it won’t change anything.

The new leader will be just as powerless, just as incapable of stopping Trump, Republicans, and the Supreme Court, just as cut off from the levers of power.

No one could do any better.....the dictator has terrorized all in Congress...I choose not to bash our Democrats...there are other ways to fight this administration....

Like everyone else, I have two Senators. I voted for both of them. I don't always agree 100% with them, but they're both Democrats and can be counted on to vote with other Democrats when it matters.

Not everyone likes them. I do, though.
