The shutdown deal funds SNAP through Sept. 2026; that means we can't be blackmailed in January.

The deal funds the whole Department of Agriculture (not just the Department of Agriculture's SNAP program) through September of 2026. That is important because the shutdown deal only funds the rest of the government until January 30, 2026. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cj41pgpk0wgo

So if and when we get in another shutdown fight over the budget in January, Trump can't starve America's poor to pressure Dems like he did this time.

This video talks about the deal's funding of SNAP until September.

But, no SNAP money is flowing yet because the shutdown deal still needs to be approved by the House and signed by Shitler.

In order to continue ACA after that is Trump going to demand that Epstein files be buried with Epstein?

She was the prosecutor on the Epstein case. That's HER file (the hard copy) that Bondi is holding onto. There must be electronic versions of it all over the place.

You can be disappointed with the five who changed their vote to support the deal, but this was no total surrender that harmed people for no purpose.

Some perspective from Lawrence O'Donnell

Turns out he was wrong about everything. Haven’t thought of him since then.

And of course the many factors he talked about that would lead to her victory. Hopium indeed.

I wouldn't use that wrong prediction against anyone. It was a reasonable prediction.

They were willing to starve America's poor to avoid extending the ACA subsidies past 12/31/25. I think Dems just did not plan on Republicans shooting the hostages. SNAP was always paid during previous shutdowns.

Now, with this deal, when budget negotiations resume in January, the GOP won't be able to hold a gun to 42 million SNAP recipients' heads.

9. All the more reason to vote Democrats in so we can pass ACA subsidies back into law.

We can't do that until we control the House, Senate and White House.
