Trump Admits He Could've Built Ballroom Without Destroying the East Wing, But 'It Looked Like Hell'

Trump Admits He Could’ve Built Ballroom Without Destroying the East Wing, But ‘It Looked Like Hell’ (Mediaite)

President Donald Trump admitted on Monday that he could have built his new White House ballroom without destroying the East Wing, but it “was a poor, sad sight” that “looked like hell.”

Asked by Fox News host Laura Ingraham about former First Lady Michelle Obama’s criticism of the destruction of the White House East Wing, Trump said:

First of all, the East Wing was a beautiful little, tiny structure that was built many years ago, that was renovated and expanded and despanded and columns ripped out. It had nothing to do with the original building. It was a poor, sad sight, and I could’ve built the ballroom around it, but it would not have been– we’re building one of the greatest ballrooms in the world. By the way, zero money spent by the government. Zero.

He boasted, “We’re gonna have the best ballroom anywhere in the world, and I built a lot of them. You know that. You know a lot of them. This will be one of the greatest ballrooms in the world.”

Of Americans will never be allowed inside. We’ll be stuck outside with our noses pressed symbolically against the windows while the rich and connected dance under a golden dome and dine on pheasant and sip champagne. Just the way tRumpolini wants it. None of us riff raff allowed.

“We’re gonna have the best ballroom anywhere in the world." Like other Americans give a rip. I know if I was visiting another country, I would brag to those citizens--Our ballroom is SO much better than yours!

What other, "ballrooms," is he talking about having built? Something at Mar-A-Gag-O?
