Brand New AP-Norc Poll: Trump Minus 26

Amid the longest government shutdown in U.S. history, President Trump’s approval ratings remain low. An AP-NORC poll, fielded just before several Senate Democrats moved to end the shutdown, finds that only three in ten adults approve of Trump’s handling of the economy, health care, or the federal government.

Overall, 62% disapprove of the way Trump is handling his job as president, while 36% approve. This is largely unchanged from October, when 61% disapproved and 36% approved.

It follows a CNN poll last week that had him at 39% approve/61% disapprove for -22% net. And a Navigator Research poll from this week which shows 40% approve/58% disapprove (-18% net) and a YouGov poll this week which has him at 39% approve/56% disapprove (-17% net).

Fifty Plus One's aggregate of polls now has him at 39.9% approve and 56.3% disapprove (net -16.4%). When the shutdown started he was at -12.3%. He's sinking fast at this point.
