The Trump "tariffs" were created as a scam to do away with the IRS.
They talked about it. They called it the "External Revenue Service". All the billionaires could get huge taxcuts and the tariffs would put a tax on the American people on all imported products. "Trillions" of dollars would roll into the Treasury. At the expense of the American consumer.
So, it was a scam from the beginning. But now, the chickens are coming home to roost. People are paying higher prices for everything because of the tariffs. And the revenues are going into the Treasury and the billionaires are living in the "Golden Age". They all love it.

... it's the TAX that we Americans would have to pay. It's not paid by foreign countries, nor by importers and exporters. It's paid by US when we buy the goods in our retail stores.
In addition, the American retailers and manufacturers are already RAISING PRICES on non-foreign merchandise that is made here in the US, because they CAN. The tariffs are a huge cause of inflation this year, and we Americans are carrying ALL of it on our backs.
How does Chump explain that? He can't, because he doesn't even understand it.
