Mona Charen sits down with John Prideaux of The Economist to talk about the brazen corruption of Trump’s second term—foreign governments showering him with luxury gifts, crypto windfalls, tariff favoritism, donor pardons, and a lobbying apparatus built around flattering one man.

Mona Charon is one of my least favorite former republican never-trumpers, but this is a show about the pumkinface's corruption - a topic which could be a major wedge issue for the Democrats if they can get the messaging right. No one likes the government mis-spending their money, right?

the corruption is so pervasive, it seems no one knows what to do about it. Even state AG’s seem intimidated into paralysis.

So, maybe most people think they have more "pressing" issues, Mona.

Of course, if they knew who was responsible for their lives being so shitty that a flat tire can snowball into bankruptcy they might vote the scoundrels out, but you know what human memories are like in these days of elevated blood Pb and CO2 levels.
