Someone pointed out recently that GOP women in elected office and high government offices are used to being exceptions to the rule of women as second class citizens. Now that the GOP has renegged on the deal, and is treating them just like they talk about them, they're spitting mad. A la MTG. Watch out, guys!

(4,338 posts)TAKE AWAY their voting rights!
(yeah, legally that would require reversing a Constitutional amendment---
but they could attempt to do so without one
by using federal forces at polling places to intimidate women---
ICE, federal marshals, national guard, national troops....)

(28,452 posts)either don't vote, or vote they way their husband tells them.
Some decades ago, my sister-in-law said she wasn't sure it made sense for her to vote since her husband always voted Republican. I pointed out that her vote more or less cancelled his. When I lived in Kansas, even though I was in the blue part of the state, I ALWAYS voted. It could be depressing how few Democrats ran for office. I'm sure Republicans in heavily Blue states feel the same way.
Vote. Vote as if your life depended on it.
And every single person who votes for those idiots, deserves zero sympathy.

(686 posts)Just to add to the fray: the current talk is about Noem being ousted despite Kash's and Hegseth's and RFK's issues. She has been fairly normal for a F-47 appointee and probably a lot more effective than any of those doofuses, but they are men--so she will be out in favor of another man.
This will not go unnoticed.

(686 posts)...without seeming to be as much of a PR liability as the males in the cabinet--yet she is the one being talked about for replacement. IMO it is because they are men and she is a woman.
No, nothing they do is "normal" in that sense. Sincere apologies for even seeming to suggest that....

(2,005 posts)Pictures of Trump molesting 13 year old girls would certainly be the bridge too far. Even his MAGAts won't countenance that.
Until them we just have to keep hitting him with his assorted crimes until the mountain ultimately crushes him. Eventually I think he will act so crazy that even the cowed MSM will have to notice and speak up. Without Trump MAGA will collapse in a very ugly civil war.
Don't give up the ship.

(253 posts)Republicans and Trump would simply declare them to be fake.
End of discussion.

(2,005 posts)Of course Trump will cry fake. AI can be made to look convincing, but it can't be made real. It can be detected. And finally there is that woman that was that 13 year old girl.
Don't give up the ship. I'm not.

The estate, the victims, etc..SOMETHING got missed and it will get leaked.
Theres a lot his base will put up with, (and I'm not certain) but photographic-level evidence of him raping a 15 year old should be the bridge too far.
His base won't care, but if Maxwell walks free the outrage for everyone else MIGHT be enough, as well (anyone who's read Nobody's Girl knows that fucking demon needs to spend the rest of her life in a cement box with no door).
