But knowing him, he will say it's AI and not his voice.

(9,012 posts)Trump's favorability in Texas was just 41% and his unfavorability 50%. In february he was at 53% favorable and 41% unfavorable, so his approval in Texas is crashing just like it is nationwide.

Also, there have already been 6 Texas Republicans in Congress who announced they are not running for reelection.

(2,308 posts)For this ad to work, the viewers have to make the connection, "If Trump is saying these things, he must really be scared of her. Maybe we should learn why Trump is so scared of her."
I salute her fearlessness. I don't know it this will work on our dumbed-down population.
I do think her timing is right. The whole country -- including many MAGAs, is really sick of Trump now. And a great many Americans will immediately connect with the unfairness of what Trump is saying here, and just how destructive he is. They don't want pissing contests, They want to get past Trump. And that is the message she is sending without any words.
I hope it goes viral.
Another very scary intelligent Black woman. What's Donnie to do but puke out stupid overused by him insults?

she's actually brilliant and I sorta think an ad displaying some of that might be more effective. but i'm not an ad person and i avoid looking at commercials assiduously.

(4,196 posts)We have heard enough of him. His voice, even in this ad, maybe especially in this ad makes me want to turn it off. There is nothing new, fresh, or exciting about this. Certainly nothing energizing and it tells you absolutely nothing about the candidate. People here will see it as the "angry black woman" trope. I hope they've got better ideas coming.

(4,196 posts)They need to talk dollars going out the door. They need to talk about health care folks are losing, groceries they can no longer buy and the filthy greed and corruption that is lining folks in TSF world's pockets. This ad is a step in the wrong direction. I hope they've got better writers working for them.

(2,100 posts)Takes one to know one. It would be laughable except he's the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES! People actually voted for that shit.
Anyway, I agree with others who say that he's extremely intimidated by intelligent women, especially women of color. What a weak, pathetic poor excuse of a man.
As for Jasmine Crockett, I will use an old expression: you go, girl!

(43,844 posts)Are they not registered? This should be doable electing a smart black woman in Texas should not be impossible. The top three states with the highest percentage of Black people are all in the south and vote Republican. What is the deal with this? Are they just addicted to being shit on and insulted?
Trueblue Texan
(4,196 posts)...for no other reason than being black if you ask me. Every single voter, black, white, brown, trans, gay, straight, or other needs to check their voter status frequently before an election. https://www.texas.gov/living-in-texas/texas-voter-registration/

(1,758 posts)with her intelligence, bravery and take no prisoners style of fighting the fascists. Using the felons own insults against her is an effective tactic in exposing his ignorant and racist appraisals of her (and most Black women who pose a threat) and inspiring the base who are looking for a genuine fighter. Id vote for her in a heartbeat if I lived in Texas.
