(95,937 posts)Democrat Eileen Higgins, a former county commissioner, won what her party saw as one of the last remaining tests of their grassroots energy heading into next year.
Higgins defeated Republican Emilio Gonzalez, Miami city manager, who has been endorsed by President Trump. Miami is party of Miami-Dade County, which went red in 2024 after being a blue stronghold for years.
Boom!
Go go go go!

(23,060 posts)believe voters are getting tired of watching men kiss IQ4.7's ass. How many times have we seen
Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins cross the aisle and vote with us? And now MTG of all people
is getting on tsf's ass. Women in Congress make better decisions than men for some reason.
Motherly instincts?

(927 posts)Looks like out of approximately 175,000 registered voters, only 37,000 went to the polls (about 20% turnout).
