What are the Dems doing to make sure the gop can't steal the Midterms?

Sitting around, Thinking our popularity will give us a win is what we did last time and look what happened then.

Maybe only us. Not just DUers but voters.

The electeds are fighting but if there are gaps in organizing we need to fill them.

Democracy has to become a verb.

You can plug it into your laptop USB, and use it as an ancillary keyboard.

Those guys are just warming up to defend Trump from the will of the voters. I predict intimidation, chaos and actual violence in their efforts to disrupt the vote. I picture them in groups 100 feet from a polling place, asking the browns and blacks for proof of identity. Pro democracy patriots will confront them. Scenes will get ugly. They’re armed, untrained, with a sense of that they can get away with anything.

ICE will start snatching brown people out of line.

Scuffles will ensue, arrests made, some MAGA asshat will pull a gun out, then martial declared in Phoenix or some such.

It’s coming and we must be ready.

My immediate problem, but this is extremely worrying.

Last election cycle, around the time of the Democratic convention I had a disturbing thought as I watched. The Democrats were soldiering on just like any other election. Using the same formula, the same hype the same talking points. Don't get me wrong - I adore Kamala and hoped against hope that she would win, but an uneasy feeling told me that somehow they were playing - 'the old game' - and I have no other name for it.

Jan 6 changed everything. It showed that trump and his cronies would stop at absolutely nothing to cling to power. My only comfort was that Joe was in charge and surely they would be on top of it.

Needless to say, I truly believe the election was rigged. It's not universally popular to say this, but there's a mounting pile of evidence to this effect. Maybe I had a premonition - maybe something else, but it ended up being true.

If you mean things like changing vote totals, that's not a thing.

If you mean gerrymandering, states like California are working to gerrymander back.

If you mean stuff like what the Supreme Court might do to gut the remaining parts of the Civil Rights Act or other efforts to require extra documentation, that's harder but Marc Elias and crew are doing everything they can.
