In the Harry Potter book series, Harry Potter's name is mentioned something like 11,000 times (not the exact number because I don't remember what is was but it's close) across all the books that are all literally about him. Mango Mussolini is mentioned like 38,000 times in documents not actually about him.

believe Rep Lieu, but wonder how he knows this.

Again...assuming the worst from TSF gets you closer to reality than giving him the benefit of the doubt. But public officials are typically more cautious in public statements.
