Number of years Bezos could absorb those losses with what he makes in a single week: 5

(535 posts)I resisted cancelling my WP subscription for a long time but I'd finally had enough shortly before the 2024 election. Screw Jeff Bezos and the editorial section of the WP.

(18,188 posts)Who am I kidding, of course they won't. They'll leave her stranded and she'll have to figure it out.
Could this be a sign that Bezos works for put!n?

(6,303 posts)She's near retirement age, so hope she resigns soon. Bezos doesn't deserve to own a major daily newspaper.

(3,596 posts)... Are there any hospital wings honoring Bezos' generosity? Are there any charities that bear his name? Has he ever done anything good for people in need? Has he made contributions to areas devastated by natural disasters? I would think we'd hear something about it if he had, but... crickets.
It would appear that he's just an insufferably rotten, pathologically selfish prick. I would like to be wrong about this, but I don't think I am. One can't be a Trump supporter and a good person. They are mutually exclusive concepts.

(76,094 posts)Also, I don't believe they're losing $100 million.
So, Bezos could absorb those losses on on week of wealth for longer than 5 years.

(21,817 posts)perhaps it wouldn't be losing a purported $100M per year. Cancelled my subscription over the Harris endorsement flap.

You can just make up whatever news you want with an LLM!
No more inconvenient stories from Eurasia, no more bad publicity about your movie that nobody can stand to watch, no more backtalk!
You can just sit behind your big desk, and dictate the stories you want the plebes to believe!
Fuck Bezos......he kisses Trumps ass. He was there at Trumps inauguration up front looking proud and rich.

(1,814 posts)I get at least a dozen emails a week from them with dirt cheap prices to resubscribe. Todays was an offer for $0.50/week. It went into the bin as soon as a saw it in my inbox. I wouldnt read now even if it was free.
