ms now gone stupid again...about the missing woman

is she found dead or alive? no facts
a suspect been identified or found dead or alive? no facts

just a broadcast from a parking lot 2 miles away with a reporter who sounds like he is calling a golf tournament.
a complete waste of time and resources to present nothing

1. I hate it when the news treats someone's tragedy like a ratings sweep mini-series, lags and all. As if everyone

should be sitting on the edge of their seats to find out what happens next even when nothing is happening next.

It makes it seem as if what is happening to someone isn't even real but a made-for-TV drama.

It's kind of insulting and more than a little insensitive.

2. I watch at times. Except if it is too close to home.

I remember when there was a shooter in Parliament in Ottawa back more than ten years ago my sister called and warned me not to go to the shopping center I often went to because there was an active shooter. I was 10 blocks from the area. I turned on the news and watched for a few minutes. I then felt guilty because it was so close and I felt like a ghoul and they didn't know how many active shooters there were 10 blocks away. So I turned off the tv and went and did errands. When I got home the horror was over and they knew there was one perp in Ottawa who killed a soldier and another man killed in Quebec City I think by a car. So I watched then, when it was over.

Been trying to avoid Nancy Guthrie stuff by watching Canadian news this week, then on Tuesday there was a school shooting in Canada so I watched more CNN as the school shooting is too sad. Started to follow the investigation into the Nancy Guthrie kidnapping.

I'm a news junky and only turn off the news to watch Grey's Anatomy. Or The Pitt. Which are adrenalin shows. My parents had CBC News public radio on both floors of our home when we grew up. I also grew up with my grandmother's oral tradition from very rural Pictou County, Nova Scotia. Her stories were about inflection points in people's lives. My dad talked politics with us every night at dinner. I guess people who love politics are news junkies in a way too. I certainly am.

You are right that this story is going nowhere so I will watch my shows and turn off CNN.

I just saw a Nancy Guthrie graphic on CNN as CNN came back from a commercial break, with theme music. That is a bit much.

You can tell because there are commercials in-between.

7. Yes. As much as I want Nancy Guthrie to be found, I am done with this manipulation....

I have failed to go to bed on time (and very much delayed) multiple times for this and other unrelated but important "teasers." All I get for it is sleep deprivation and a very difficult time trying to get through work the next day.

I absolutely hope for the best for Nancy and her family. But, I am now going to simply peruse online for any major breaking news blurbs that are worth reading and keep the tv largely off. All the Trump related news was raising my BP anyway...

I want to support MSNOW (and CNN somewhat), but sheesh... Too much.

inexperienced.

Video at about 6:00 a.m. EST on another channel showed law enforcement placing yellow plastic around the rear end of an SUV after opening the car's trunk, shielding the trunk's contents from view. Then a scheduled "statement" to media was canceled. Not good signals.

9. News Nation and Ashley Banfield falsely claimed that the woman's son in law is a prime suspect.

The next day the police said there are no persons of interest or prime suspects. I hope they have good insurance for defamination.
