There were leaders back then that said, how do we know that you won't elect trump again??
They were right to be wary.
For all the people saying this is not who we are, yada yada yada . Why should the rest of the world believe us??
The next trump like figure that comes around, are we confident that he/she could not be elected? Because this is not who we are??
I think we are fooling ourselves into thinking that trump is the problem.
