In my dream, I'd heard it on the news and I was running around the house trying to find my husband to share the good news... "did you hear? did you hear?! Trump is dead! Trump is dead!!" I couldn't find my husband anywhere in the house... the fact that he was missing distressed me so much that I woke up.
Then... I was sad to realize it was only a dream. (Sigh.)

(54,646 posts)Finally, in an ER compartment, there he lay dead.
The overwhelming sense of relief that his cruelty could no longer touch me.
Relief, not celebration.

(17,244 posts)Your comment is so true - relief, not celebration for the passing of someone who has caused harm.
Just sorry that was the case for you with a family member. Hugs.

(308 posts)log onto Democratic Underground and find confetti falling from the top of the screen to the bottom, overlaying the headline: He's Dead. I shared this fantasy with my hubby. Now, every morning, after he prepares his first cup of coffee, he's comes out to my computer and asks me, "Is there confetti yet?"

(287 posts)I have a feeling about something happening to him in March. But I hope he is not ended the way of Caesar. He should have a terminal illness for a while and have an impaired speaking ability. Karma for all the people with disabilities he mocked.

(1,944 posts)my end for Donald Trump--he experiences a stroke which leaves him speechless, confined to a wheelchair for 30 years before he is finally released by death.

(108,148 posts)Honestly, I feel like that game is the most apt metaphor for what we're going through right now at this point. The dark one has control. Hell, Trump has turned the White House - once a beacon of freedom - into his own nightmare palace. And he is molding literally everything to bend to his fascist will.
When he finally goes there will be a celebration like no other!

(14,055 posts)So many nights the trauma related stress of what is taking place in our country (and the world) plays out in nightmares.
I should add that one day your dream will come true!
