Denmark evacuates U.S. submarine crew member

in Greenlandic waters and transfers him to Nuuk, Greenland for medical treatment. Meanwhile, our insane clown president is barking that he is sending a floating hospital (which coincidentally can hold 1200 troops) to Greenland because people there don't have access to medical care.

"NUUK, Feb 21 (Reuters) - Denmark's Joint Arctic Command said on Saturday it had evacuated a crew member who required urgent medical treatment from a U.S. submarine in Greenlandic waters, seven nautical miles outside of Greenland's capital Nuuk.
The crew member has been transferred to the Greenlandic health authorities and the hospital in Nuuk, the Joint Arctic Command said in a statement.

The evacuation was carried out using the Danish Defence Seahawk helicopter, it added."

Hearing about the medical needs of the submariner. It likely enraged him that he would Need to be transferred to Greenland for care - Trump sees it as making him look Weak because he is just that psychologically disturbed.

Your suggestion sounds as reasonable as anything else knowing Trump's fragile ego status.

Then I read the chilling side-note upthread--these hospital ships can hold up to 1200 soldiers.

Yikes! Trojan Horse days revisited.

However, my husband just mentioned that our two hospital ships, the Mercy and Comfort, have been and are still in dry-dock for major repairs.

Sounds as if this is another example of Trump running his mouth, bloviating for the sake of it.

Good Lord. Can we just get back to normal and end this continuous freak show?

A U.S. Navy sailor was medically evacuated Saturday afternoon from an American nuclear-powered submarine by Danish military forces, according to a U.S. and Danish official.

The submarine broke from its mission and surfaced about eight miles from Nuuk, Greenland, an extraordinary step for a vessel designed to remain hidden beneath the sea in secrecy.

The sailor was airlifted by a Danish Defense Seahawk helicopter, deployed from the Vædderen, a Danish military patrol ship.

It's unclear what the nature of the medical emergency was, but it was not combat-related, according to the U.S. official.

The sailor is being treated at a hospital in Nuuk, Greenland's capital.
