Trump warns some Americans may die amid US strikes in Iran

WASHINGTON, Feb 28 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump said on Saturday that the United States had begun "major combat operations" in Iran, warning that there may be U.S. casualties.

The strikes, which Trump said were aimed at destroying Iranian missiles and annihilating its navy, follow repeated U.S.-Israeli warnings that they would strike Iran again if it pressed ahead with its nuclear and ballistic missile programs.

Interesting quote from 2012, considering trump has some of the worst polling numbers of any president in US history.

From video footage (several sources) - it looks serious. It would not surprise me if some navy personnel and contractors were

...as successive republican and Democratic presidents achieved in their terms.

Averting war with Iran was the task at hand, the move most Americans support,and Trump predictably screwed that up to serve his own petty interests in covering for his own election interference which far outstrips anything Iran accomplished.
