Our new breed of young, smart, democratic women gives me hope for our country's future.

I am grateful for her!

I'm sad that we've (temporarily) lost a good woman in Congress. She had a strong voice and is a real asset to the party. I hope we see a lot more of her in the coming years.

but in what I consider a win-win, we MAY get a dem senator, and we have a real fighter who knows what the hell she's doing in the House. I can think of no one better-equipped to tackle the accountability problem that the current House membership refuses to even acknowledge.

unless there would be special election which she would run in and win (extremely unlikely).

I guess I kind of assumed she would. If not, that will be a great loss to the Democratic delegation in the House.

She chose to run for Senate instead of the House, where her district was extremely gerrymandered to make it much more Republican making it extremely difficult for her to win there again.

Bummer!

a race that could have slid under the radar.

Talarico served a couple terms as a state rep and did get attention for leaving the state when Abbott was acting up. He's a good guy and he does draw crowds. But Jasmine elevated the race to another level, and seeing these two candidates rack up more votes than the red candidates finally gave this old heart some hope.

Wishing her the best in all that she does.

Texas redistricted to remove Crockett and help the gop. And that action caused Newson to put redistricting on California ballot and gave a lot of blue state governors the will to fight fire with fire and redistrict in their state. That is quite an effect and influence.

She is the fighter and voice we need to punch back on the repuke Nazis.

because of the screwup in Dallas County. I have always enjoyed her appearances on MSNOW and hope she continues to provide her commentary there.

I hope she runs again in 2028. She has a really important voice that must continue to be heard.

It wasn't a screw up. It was the Republicans testing out a new plan to cause chaos and depress voter turnout. It was deliberate.

Hopefully, her run will have elevated her profile, and showcased her grace, brilliance, talents, and guts for future opportunities! MANY future opportunities!

Her presence and performance would make the debates much more exciting and would increase viewership. And, she might WIN !
