🚨 THE US JUST BOMBED A WATER PLANT. READ THAT AGAIN:
America just struck a freshwater desalination plant on Qeshm Island, Iran.
Do you understand what that means?
30 villages just lost their water supply
This is not a military base. Not a missile site. Not a radar station. A WATER PLANT.
Iran's FM warned this will have "grave consequences"
He said: "The US set this precedent, not Iran"
That means Iran now considers ALL civilian infrastructure fair game
Every desalination plant in the Gulf just became a potential target
Saudi Arabia gets 70% of its drinking water from desalination
UAE gets 90%
Qatar gets almost 100%
One strike on a Gulf desalination plant and MILLIONS have no drinking water within days
The US just opened a door that CANNOT be closed. And Iran is watching.

I wonder what "class" he's teaching; Anti-West Propaganda and Conspiracies 101? In any case, the Youtube algorithm has unfortunately been given him eyeballs lately. There's more troubling stuff about this guy I, but the CT nonsense was more than enough for me.
As for the specific predictions here, he also says this is now WW3 and the end of the world, and that Russia and China will enter on Iran's side. NOT just provide intel or support to Iran as we do Ukraine, but enter on their side.
I know how this stuff goes though; people latch onto the "correct" predictions and ignore everything else.

Israel's response to October 7 is why Biden or Harris are not POTUS.
Israel's response to October 7 why there is a huge Democratic divide now and why the USA has lost allies and World respect.
An Iran 100% surrender that satisfies Trump's fever dreams and allows Trump to pick a new leader of Iran will embolden Israel aggression to expand a Greater Israel, not end the conflict in the Middle East.
I am not willing to give Trump nor Netanyahu's Israel a pass.
That is an opinion held in common by most clear thinking and moral Americans, particularly Democrats.
No conspiracy, transparent propaganda and kinetic actions in plain sight for the past 2 1/2 years.

(37,489 posts)One poster said the trajectories looked like interceptor missiles.
What would happen if you intercepted a large bomb as it flew over a desalination plant, so that lots of heavy burning debris hit the plant? Or even if interceptors went astray and struck the desal plant?
In that case I wouldn't blame the maker of the interceptors (the US), or the military firing the interceptors (Bahrain), but the military firing the missiles to be intercepted.
Sadly, this cannot be. It would blame the victim, and at no point is a victim ever in the slightest responsible for his/her victimization.
Note that millennia ago, in a language abroad program, some poor German came to class saying he'd been robbed. We asked--teacher had no objection, since the English, French, Bulgarian, and Italian speakers had scant German and the Germans' knowledge the above consisted of hand gestures, so musili jsme ji zeptali jenom cesky, jak mozna bylo, ze jeho, nemca, kriminalci cesti okradli!" And he had to answer that he'd been out drinking, made some Czech friends; different bar, drank more; maybe a third bar, but definitely drank more. And he woke up on a bench with a police officer asking if he was okay but he lacked his identification as a German legally in the country, had no money, etc., etc. We laughed at the poor, undeserving victim. The cop had more mercy on him--mostly because he was nemec and assumed to be so stupid and arrogant as to be a waste of carbon. But took him back to the dorm and made sure he was treated well, since he was obviously unable to take care of himself. Fortunately, he wasn't my German BMV automotive engineer roommate. (NB: I probably screwed up the Czech, it's been 30 years.)

(93,627 posts)A leaked 2008 US diplomatic cable from Riyadh warned that Saudi Arabia's capital would have to be evacuated within a week if the Jubail desalination plant, its pipelines, or associated power infrastructure were seriously damaged, adding that the Saudi government's structure could not function without it.
The Jubail complex, located on Saudi Arabia's eastern coast, supplies more than 90 percent of Riyadh's drinking water through a pipeline stretching roughly 500 kilometres inland.
Qatar's prime minister warned last year that any attack on Iran's nuclear facilities could contaminate the region's waters and threaten life in Qatar, the UAE, and Kuwait, and disclosed that Qatar had once assessed it could run out of potable water in just three days in such a scenario, leading Doha to build 15 massive water reservoirs as emergency reserves.
Despite these fears, Iran has so far refrained from directly targeting Gulf desalination facilities during the current conflict, even as it has struck airports, hotels, ports, oil installations, and energy infrastructure across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman over the past week.

(37,489 posts)Whether that would be the final breaking point in Iran's descent towards Putinistic 'let's bomb maternity hospital' type scheiss.
That didn't happen. But I'm not ruling out that the 'attack' on the desalination plant was parallel to when Israeli interceptors took out a Muslim-fired missile--whether God's Party, ZEAL, or the Iranian Ayatollah Shi'ite Shura as the agents of intended Israeli corpsehood--and it was clear that it was the remains of the interceptor-intercepted system that did the damage. Moreover, had the missile accomplished its goals, the death/destruction/etc. would have been worse. Few to none that I am aware of claimed it was the Israeli military intentionally destroying an Israeli apt. building.
Then again, had it fallen on Arabic speakers or Muslims, all bets are off.

(18,481 posts)No, not as claimed. Iran's FM accuses the US of striking a desalination plant on Qeshm Island, saying it cut water to 30 villages and sets a "precedent" for civilian targets.
Western reports (BBC, NYT satellite analysis) link it to confirmed US strikes on a Revolutionary Guards naval base there earlier this weekdamage to military infrastructure, not a verified direct hit on a water plant.
The attached image appears to show an unrelated coastal industrial site (likely oil-related). Ongoing conflict has many unconfirmed claims on both sides.

I hope Iran bombs all the other countries water plants now. Then they'll all start reassessing their relationship with Trump. After Putin is overthrown and all the Arab countries turn on Trump and his family, There will be nowhere on this earth they can go to and expect to be safe, and everyone here will hate them and dump any involvement with any business they're involved in. (789 posts)the US government so high that there will be no benefit obtained even if they succeed. Iran would have to fight a very long drawn out war to wear out the US and Israel militarily and the devastation inside of their country from such a war would be unrecoverable. Look at Syria. They will spend over 50 years rebuilding and it will never be the same. And that's in addition to their population recovering from all the death and mutilation. Same with Gaza.
I wouldn't suggest they retaliate in such a way if the US had not already bombed Iran's desalinization plant. This was an act of terrorism as was the deliberate double-tap bombing of the girl's school when taking into consideration the already illegal bombing campaign.
Terrorism is a tactic, not an ideology. And now that the US and Israel have used it. The Iranians are more likely to increase terror attacks. Also, martyrdom is a central, defining, and revered concept of the Shia sect of Islam.
Keep in mind, water has already been a source of resource contention and potential conflict between Iran and Afghanistan over the Helmand River and has escalated into serious, occasionally violent, confrontations affecting the Sistan-Balochistan region, aggravated by climate change, droughts, and the Taliban's construction of dams and canals.
This is known to military planners and they are trying to break the Iranian will by putting extreme strain on their population.
sarisataka
