'See you at Nuremberg 2.0.' Oregon senator Wyden blasts outgoing Homeland Security secretary

Democrats wasted no time piling on after President Donald Trump fired Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem on Thursday.

Sen. Ron Wyden, an Oregon Democrat, had particularly harsh words for Noem, who had faced rising criticism about her leadership and handling of the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown.

“Turns out lawlessness is not a winning strategy,” Wyden posted on BlueSky. “See you at Nuremberg 2.0.”

The reference, of course, was to the Nuremberg Trials, where Nazi leaders were prosecuted in the years after World War II.

Others from Oregon’s congressional delegation also weighed in.

The first trial of the most senior nazis apprehended resulted in 11 death penalties. Goring topped himself just before leaving ten.

Netflix just released the movie today, and if you haven't already seen it, make it a point to do so. Such a powerful movie and a reminder that this could happen here. In fact, everyone in this country should be required to watch it - especially the MAGAts.
