Basically, the regime will run a false flag that Iranian operatives have compromised the voting data in order to change the election results. The ONLY way to fix it is to federalize the voting machines. Who will stop them?

(13,196 posts)The free states and peoples of this nation are not without power.
Democratic state attorneys general have done a decent job of banding together in forceful opposition. They need to up their game.
And it is time for our electeds to figure out how to do the same. Democratic governors must band together in joint opposition.
Individual condemnations are NOT sufficient. We need unprecedented unity -- starting with something as simple as a joint statement condemning this criminal war signed by EVERY member of the U.S. House and Senate who has a conscience.
And that is a place to focus our citizen lobbying efforts.
If they can't get their act together to do that, how the hell do they expect us to believe they'll be able to unify in far more difficult action when they have control?
Call to action: Each and every person with a conscience has work to do in the weeks ahead.

Publicize their records on social media and on public bulletin boards, with info on how their voting record negatively affects people. Publicize those records on signs at No Kings on March 28.
Support candidates who oppose the war and fascist regime in power. Make phone calls or do door to door canvassing in your community in support of good candidates.
The "demo" part of the word "democracy" comes from a Greek word, "demos " meaning "people." A government of, by, and for the people. So maintaining it is up to us.

(13,196 posts)...connect with people in your area and spread the sort of messages you suggest.
Billboards are relatively inexpensive and help create a feedback loop of hope and action. Every person who contributed even a small amount sees a tangible result. And that sort of feedback loop inspires further action. And posting photos of the billboard on social media extends the reach.
The part that can be a stumbling block is coming up with the message and design. But with outreach, it is not impossible to engage local graphic arts people to propose designs. With a design, target location, price for the vinyl wrap and a months rent, you have the fundraising goal. And expanding efforts to raise money beyond the internet -- door knocking and flyer distribution -- is a great way to create lasting local connections for other sorts of citizen lobbying efforts.

(28,064 posts)The weak link is the ballot boxes and voting machines. If tRump's goons seize them after voting concludes, there is NO way to prove that the GOPee didn't win. We need a way to protect them until we can get a TRUE count of the votes. The question becomes how to accomplish this.

That is why they are beefing up AI, why Bezos is turning over Ring data to NHS and why Alexa evesdrops on us. Not to mention that nice Zuck who is driving Meta to the right. And many others. Trump did say that people only needed to vote for him one more time. Now here we are.
