You really have to acknowledge Trump's abilities.

Trump has that unique ability to take (or make) a bad situation, worse, without a doubt.

Now he would like to get back to the Iran deal that Obama made - just without Obama’s signature.

Just maybe he is just starting to realize that Iran is not like Venezuela - they are a nation state that won’t back down. Not like the U.S. Congress, Universities, Law Offices and Media. Definitely not “insert your own word here “ like the MAGA crowd.

A part of me is thinking - maybe Trump is the medicine that America needs to humble us and make us face up to our arrogance, history and behavior on both the local and world scene.

"Trump," and "smart," are never to be used in the same sentence, or paragraph, for that matter.

But if there is anything to be gained or learned from this sorry era, aside from how many doofuses exist in the "land of the free,' it is how feeble and tawdry many of our checks and balances are. The "supreme" court and how it is stocked?? The independence of the department of "justice" from the "executive"?? The emoluments clause?

Just for starters.

Krasnov opened up Pandora's box, this isn't going to end until Iran feels they got an eye for an eye.

Sucking our eyeballs, earholes, attention, and precious life energy every moment. When it starts to wane a little bit, voila, another outrage. Absolute chaos. I would like to see what happens if the attention fire hose directed his way quit for a day, a week. He would really, really go away. It's a personal choice whether we allow this crap in our lives.

No matter how painful, to learn a lesson.
Germany certainly did, as did Japan.

What keeps me going is that when we come out of this, we'll be more humble and a lot wiser.
