Shaming, especially public shaming, can be as bad as or worse than some physical "punishment".

I don't agree with corporal punishment, but that's not the part of this that is sick. Some people spank their children as a form of discipline and their children aren't scarred from it. The part that is sick is that you'd brag about it like this in public, that disciplining your child with spanking is a punchline for you to feel macho in front of others is disgusting.

Yes some parents believe that corporal punishment is appropriate and even necessary. And yes maybe a small group of local parents chatting about how they discipline their kids, while not great to think about, probably happens.

But fucking bragging about it in front of a crowd? Describing the child's reactions like that? That is just fucking SICK.
