Women are more educated than men there. I’ve met female STEM PhDs from Iran many times…there was even an amazing Fields medalist from Iran (first female fields medalist) who sadly passed from cancer way too young. They are underrepresented at work though. Men have an education disadvantage with compulsory military service.

Does that number include adult women. First at least, a source for the number is required.

15-24 year old girls/women are around 99% literate.

General adult females at 85% versus general adult males at 80%.
