Watching Artemis launch prep, godspeed Integrity

On Cspan, live -- As the astronauts are being "seated", my claustrophobia winces. Incredible prep crew, all pieces and parts accounted for. This is going to be a fascinating journey to watch, the launch especially conjuring grainy black and white memories of Alan Shepard and John Glenn.

And I'm trying, with little success, to believe that the timing of trump's speech is not intended to steal some of that attention for himself.

Horribly ironic that this maladministration should be associated with a craft named "Integrity". eppur_se_muova Thursday #7

And then the astronauts came up to him with tears in their eyes saying "Sir, we couldn't have done this without you."

I'm getting updates from my son who's at KSC in the room next to the launch room! He's been part of the Artemis program from the start as a software engineer and he said he was able to see the crew's vehicle drive by and that there are American and Canadian flags everywhere!

Crossing my fingers that everything will go as planned.

Integrity is clearly the absolute last thing that anyone in this WH, or this GOP Congress, cares about.
