I assume you're good with keeping victims names and images out of that. But what about everyone's email addresses? I can't see any reason to release that. There's also a bunch of minutia emails that have no relevance from a legal perspective. Why should that be released if it wouldn't make the cut in any criminal case because it has no probative value?

Not without their explicit permission. They have been through enough. The names of the abusive male rapists and the sleazy people who took Epstein’s money should be out there.

If academic science wants to for example normalize a total creep like V.S.Ramachandran who had “no problem with taking money from Epstein”, then it should reflect poorly on the work and academic culture of UCSD.

I have largely avoided the Epstein files stories as they are unpleasant to read. But they are an example of an open secret that was horrific.

Normalizing a slide into more of this stuff at the same time true trivialities sucked up so much oxygen was a characteristic of the Internet from 2000-the present, as social media and search giants got their grips into society. The NSA scandals seem almost quaint in this present Panopticon. This perverse embrace of 1984 must not be normalized.

There has to be an out from this endless trap deregulation fueled internet dramas, cyclical backlashes and this foul dichotomy: normalization of horrors existing cheek by jowl with a brainless, liability conscious culture that then swings the other way policing jokes and speech and promoting censorship as civilized while neatly leaving in all the actual abuse..enough of this shit.

It is actually very typical. Rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic. The appearance of a type of prim, moralizing propriety justified by moralizing, hectoring judgemental frauds who clutch their pearls over bullshit from all sides (when convenient), all while being quite cool with making life hell for women in any real sense.

The ever escalating crises should not be an excuse for more of the same.

We are at a crossroads re this surveillance filled society where one can double down on this Les Miserables shit - mob justice or our shitty systems. And as many real horrors go on destabilising all aspects of society. Or we can shoot for something new, fresh and surprising over endless stale surprise minimization for our creepy pseudo elites and our mostly craven, thought averse and lazy elites, with constant unpleasant surprises for the rest of us. Critical thinking is their real enemy.

Often female victims don’t want to talk about it especially when they are from troubled backgrounds. I recognize some of these behaviors even as a non-expert, but a woman with some understanding of how women act out when forced to live in degrading and abusive circumstances for extended periods. And I have always been fortunate in supportive, loving and stable parents and networks, this vile overlay on society for the past 14+ years aside.

It is nothing like Epstein, but I am filing complaints against a corrupt and deeply misogynistic thing where I am from (not the US), though it started in the US originally in 2011. Though that is also on the cards.

It is evident that many of these women would rather be left alone, aside from the messiness of resolving their issues and reintegrating into society as best as they can.
