"Cherish" as a morning earworm today? Why are there minesweepers in the music video in my head?

It appears I should have posted this in Music Appreciation. I didn't because TSF's use of the word "cherish" so inappropriately last night triggered the earworm and the minesweeper imagery. Anyone with a mental health background should feel free to chime in about that.

I remember seeing it in a theater in 1960. No one uttered a word as the audience exited the aisles.

I told her and got to hold her.

I wasn't wimpy like the guy in the song.
