I have encountered four adults among a group (between the ages of 20 and 40 approximately) who admitted they were homeschooled after embarrassing episodes where they showed they could not pronounce even basic English words and names. One pronounced a woman's surname (Mead) as "ME- Add," and the others were equally ridiculous (though I have intentionally forgotten them). I would have guessed they grew up overseas and just didn't read, speak, or hear much English, but no. I do not know anything about the parents who homeschooled them, and these are mere anecdotes that can't be extrapolated--but it does make me wonder.

So, is this (the MS-NOW graphic error) a wider phenomenon or just a momentary mental lapse and lack of appropriate attention or...?
