This breakdown on covering trump is precisely what the corporate media pretends not to understand

As he wrote today on bluesky: You always have to pay attention to what is actually happening, not what Trump says is happening. Because Trump lies about everything. Too often media serves as Trump's daily stenographer, passing along his propaganda verbatim.

So simple. Yet the corporate media still regurgitates his every utterance without calling him on the constant lies, contradictions, fantasies, and downright incomprehensible statements. Just reports it verbatim. Then when it turns out to be baseless, they breathlessly wait for his next pronouncement so that they can "report" that. And on and on.

Until they understand that, to paraphrase Stuart Stevens, it is all a lie the cycle will continue.

something so simple I'm afraid. The end result is an endless cloud of BS that only confuses their viewers or readers. But I guess that's the point.

Play it all, quote it all, show it all in all its hideousness In fact, it should all be shown and then rigorously questioned by an adversarial media. All for it. But since he won't tolerate hard questions, the in studio "journalists'" response should be fact checking. No sanewashing. No showing short clips and then spending hours "deciphering" them.
