Nehls is my congresscritter. He is a dishonest asshole who was fired as a law enforcement officer. Nehls is not running this time because of pending ethics complaint, but his asshole twin brother is running. There is a very outside chance that the GOP dummymander may help in that my CD went from a R+24 to a R+16 district which could flip in a blue wave. This is an outside chance but I have hope that trump's wars and other stupidity may help
A few conservatives continue, despite the backlash, to talk about Donald Trump as if hes akin to Jesus Christ.
Might as well just get on his knees and beg for the knob.

MSNOW - Rep. Troy Nehls compares Trump to âsecond comingâ in bizarre rant

Retiring Texas Republican Rep. Troy Nehls isnt one of them.
Nehls, who has achieved a reputation as one of Trumps more shameless sycophants in Congress, told CNNs Manu Raju on Thursday that he believes Donald Trump is better than sliced bread and almost the second coming, in my humble opinion.
I believe that Donald Trump is, uhh, better than sliced bread. I think hes almost the second coming, in my humble opinion. I think hes done a fantastic job hes got a very difficult job. The popes got a tough job you know, got issues in the church. But Donald Trump has a very, very difficult job, the toughest job in the world.
And Nehls is not the only conservative who seems resolute in portraying the president a xenophobic bigot whos been convicted of fraud and found liable for sexual abuse as if hes akin to Jesus Christ.

(17,860 posts)Just about everywhere I go these days, I hear people who are fed up, and this area is very red. They hate Trump's guts, frankly, and they lay the blame squarely at his feet. So I hope Trump keeps telling Republicans to stick beside him and praise him. They'll be guilty by association in the eyes of voters. If we have a big win in November, like control of Congress, I think there might be enough support for impeachment from the Republicans to get it through the Senate. But if things continue to deteriorate, we might not be able to wait that long to remove him from office. I sure hope this isn't going to be as bad as I'm worried it's going to be.

(6,388 posts)Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?
