I'm not religious at all but I did donate to and vote for Talarico.....I dislike the holy rolling but found great satisfaction with him directly confronting repuke religious hypocrisy. I do hope he sticks to the issues now because with the repuke shit show going on he seems like a breath of fresh air.

Somebody posted it on DU last year, which was the first time I saw it.

The context was a bona fide sermon in church, and he delivered it in October 2023, so it's not as if he's taken to delivering sermons on the stump.

It's actually well worth a listen, IMO. I'm not conventionally religious, but I found it heartening to hear a clever, detailed dissection and condemnation of the nationalist (a.k.a. right-wing) turn in US religious practice.
