With 31 wins under his belt (and counting), Jeopardy! superchampion and New Jerseyan Jamie Ding has a new rival in his sights: the Trump Administration.

Ding, a resident of Lawrence Township in Mercer County and Seton Hall University Law School, filed a motion to intervene in the U.S. Department of Justice's lawsuit demanding New Jersey election officials turn over voter rolls to the federal government. The lawsuit was filed in February in federal court under the auspices of inspecting and cross-checking voter rolls to seek improper registrations.

"Accurate, well-maintained voter rolls are a requisite for the election integrity that the American people deserve," then-Attorney General Pam Bondi said in a press release announcing the lawsuits against New Jersey and four other states. "This latest series of litigation underscores that this Department of Justice is fulfilling its duty to ensure transparency, voter roll maintenance, and secure elections across the country."

A motion to intervene is filed by a third party seeking to enter into a lawsuit becuase they have a stake in the outcome, allowing them to file briefs and participate in oral arguments.

Ding, 33, is one of them.
