The modern journalist (with exceptions, of course) is just a whore for clicks and will do anything to get them. They would cheer for the orange gibbon if he was standing there wanting to talk to them and they would cheer if he was laying in front of them dead. They don't care about him, except for his ability to get them clicks.

Which is the same with all of us. If you need some basis for what journalist are capable of, feel free to go read about William Randolph Hearst and Joseph Pulitzer. Thanks to them, we now have the term 'yellow journalism'. The manipulation was extreme. But, it was all for 'clicks'.

Just like today. They will write whatever gets them eyes, and reality be damned.

(Again, I will repeat that there are exceptions to this. But, those exceptions seem few and far between and too often get drowned out by those seeking more and more as opposed to seeking the truth.)
